Location
The multifunctional building VITKOVIA CENTRUM is situated in Prague 3, at Žižkov, at the intersection of Husitská, Pod Vítkovem and Prokopova streets. The site forms a natural communication node and a local centre. Prokopova street here continues to the narrow Pod Vítkovem street which leads to Vítkov park. Today both Husitská and Prokopova streets are significant city avenues with lots of hotels, restaurants and shops. The connection between the park and the multifunctional building improves urban and architectual qualities of the site. This also raises social significance of Pod Vítkovem street, which will thus become an entrance to the park. There is also a underground station planned on the nearby Prokop square. Currently, there is a bus stop nearby connecting the site with city districts Florenc, Staroměstská, Flóra and Ohrada. Besides the Vítkov Park there are other squares, the town hall, the church of St. Prokop, post office, schools, restaurants, cafes and tram stop Lipanská connected to the centre within walking distance.
