The multifunctional building VITKOVIA CENTRUM is designed as a modern building placed in a site gap of historic Žižkov building area. The object fills up the U-shaped corner plot according to the original estate. By respecting the street and courtyard lines, a small courtyard – atrium – was created in the middle of the building. The building consists of 6 floors, attic and 2 underground floors. Visually it is divided into 2 parts reflecting the original parcelling – the white part is located in the corner, the grey one in the upper part of Pod Vítkovem street. The main vertical division is formed by the facade and attic with dormers. The facade is then subtly divided by floors – the ground floor with business units has showcases facing the street, the office spaces are situated on the second floor and from the third floor up thre are flats and studios – with regular facade segmentation reflecting the surrounding buildings. The segmentation of the facade is supplemented by facade carvings and balconies facing Pod Vítkovem street. The attic, differentiated from the rest of the building by material and color, forms a crossroad accent in the corner. Other architectural accents are the corner arcade and the recessed main entrance with a two-storey hall.
